The goal of Fairest is to develop simple, cost-effective, non-invasive Functional Airway Evaluation Screening Tools that can help to identify patients at risk of sleep and breathing issues. Customized tools for each profession are under development and will be modified as we learn from and improve each version of the tool.
Fairest 6 (2021): Six Red Flags Exam Findings for Pediatric Sleep-Disordered Breathing
Fairest 6 was used to identify red flag indicators of pediatric sleep-disordered breathing.
Fairest 15 (2018)
Designed with a focus for dentists and ENTs, it includes 15 assessments with 6 questions and focuses on dental, ENT and other clinical traits. Initial research involved 96 subjects ages 6-12 at UCLA.

Fairest 21 (2018) Multi-Disciplinary Tool
The first multidisciplinary tool with a whopping 21 categories, including 11 new assessments and 8 questions. Research involved 665 subjects ages 3+ done by 13 clinicians in 5 disciplines and 5 countries resulting in an overwhelming amount of data.

This version of Fairest is being used by The Breathe Institute and its affiliate centers to determine the impact of head and neck posture on CT airway dimensions.

This version of Fairest is adapted for research at The Breathe Institute (TBI) and is free for use by other professionals.
Fairest 12: MFT_12 Parts 1 and 2
MFT_12 parts 1 and 2 are being used by The Breathe Institute in research projects relating to myofunctional therapy and lingual frenuloplasty presented at the Breathe Outlook for the 2021-22 academic years.
